Objectives:

Implant dentistry has become an integral part of clinical practice. Whether the clinician plan to focus on implant placement surgery or restoration, comprehensive training in both surgical and restorative aspects is the most effective approach to advance the clinical skills. This course is appropriate for any clinician who is interested in gaining basic knowledge in surgical and prosthetic steps in implant dentistry.
Hands-On workshop: participants will place and restore implants in models.

 

The course has 8 credits hours.

8-8:30 Registration
8:30-9:30 Implant dentistry: an overview.
9:30-10:30 Biologic basis of Osseointegration, Anatomy of implant sites, Medical evaluation for the implant patient.
10:30-11:30 Diagnosis and treatment planning & Radiographic and Surgical guides.
11:30-12:30 Implant Surgical considerations and treatment planning.
12 30 -13 30 Payer and lunch
13 30 – 14 30 Implant prosthetic options
14 30-15 30 Implant retained overdenture
15 30- 16:30 Provisionalization in implant dentistry
16:30- 17:30 Surgical placement Hands-on
17:30-18:30 Implant Prosthodontic Hands-on
